Our goal was to improve efficiency and maximise return without increasing spend. To achieve this, we restructured Spray Direct’s Google Ads account around data-driven insights and product performance.
We began by reallocating the budget, reducing brand campaign spending, and focusing investment on areas that deliver the most substantial commercial returns.
Next, we enhanced audience targeting within Performance Max, introducing structured audience signals to improve ad relevance and reach higher-value customers. At the same time, we conducted an extensive keyword optimisation, removing over 1,000 underperforming search terms to tighten focus and drive traffic.
We also refined ad messaging, developing segmented copy that highlighted Spray Direct’s unique selling points, such as professional-grade performance, reliability, and value, to encourage engagement across product categories.
Finally, we implemented a profitability-led segmentation strategy, introducing new campaign structures based on product-level performance. This allowed us to prioritise spend towards SKUs with the highest commercial impact, ensuring the account was not only more efficient but also strategically aligned with business goals.
